Instruction
Print the pdf template with your printer on light cardstock (160 g - 220 g paperweight). Cut along the black lines with scissors or cutter. By cutting at the edge of the lines you cut the lines away and won’t see them in your finished paper-cut..
Crease along the grey dashed lines (three lines). The top crease line will be a valley fold, the middle crease line a mountain fold and the bottom dash line again a valley fold.
Your paper-cut shows four sections now. Apply adhesive to the back of the top section with the word “LOVE” and the bottom section with the cut-out heart. When using spray adhesive, cover the two middle sections of the cut-out. Now glue the top and bottom section to the inside of a 13 x 13 cm folded square card (use contrasting color) . Leave a 1 mm border at each side which shows the contrasting background color. Glue the inside of the letter “O” to the word “LOVE”. Embellish the cut-out heart with a satin ribbon bow and glue to the front of the card as displayed in the photos above.
Cut out the mini envelope and paper inlay as well as the two doves. Fold the sides of the envelope toward the middle. Then fold the bottom flap and fix with glue at the sides. Fold the paper inlay by half, write your personal message on it and put it in the envelope. Now you can fold the top flap and slip it inside. Glue the envelope to the inside of the card. You may embellish the blank areas of the card with stamp designs, your own drawings, paintings or writing, it’s up to your creativity. If you don’t want to cut the template by hand, you can order the paper-cut card with envelope from our shop in the section greeting cards under “Love” or “Wedding”. When opening the card, it will stand up without any support. This pop-up heart card is quite unique and will certainly be treasured.
Enjoy!
